Marine Stuns Crowd

This video was included in a cooking newsletter that was sent out to the 300,000 on Dan's e-mail list. Sadly, Dan Oaks is often criticized by people on his e-mail list whenever he includes content like this. They say "I thought I signed up for a cooking newsletter and now you're pushing this stuff on me! UNSUBSCRIBE!"

Even though Dan knows that he is going to lose some customers by including content like this...he still does it. You see, as an Eagle Scout, Dan did what this Marine suggested...he listened to all of the verses of the Star Spangled Banner and he internalized them at a young age...especially this verse.

So, even though Dan may lose customers with content like this and the references to God on the About page of Dan's website, he insists on "Praising the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation." He insists that it is the right thing to do and "conquer we must, when our cause it is just" and that as a company, "this be our motto: 'In God is our trust."

Even though professionals remind him that he gets 10,000 unique visitors to his website every day and that he must remove references to God, he says that we must do it so "the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"
